Amalia was originally from Onach, a small village in the Pustertal Valley, which lies on the opposite side of the Lüsner Alp. Since time immemorial, the Alpine pasture has always brought people together, and so it was for Amalia and Johann Hinteregger. Not only was Amalia a woman capable of mastering any challenge that came her way, but she also had a talent for creating new connections and opening up new possibilities. With her husband Johann being actively involved in Lüsen’s village life, Amalia ran the farm almost single-handedly. In 1933, the couple reached an important milestone: they built the Kreuzwiesenalm hut on the Lüsner Alp. Amalia’s legacy lives on in this apartment – a unique combination of vision and tradition.
